I\u2019m Yuki Tamura, a freshman at Tokyo University of Foreign Studies(TUFS).
\r\nRecently, I\u2019ve been busy with my homework- studying and practicing pronunciation of Lao and Chinese, and writing English reports.
\r\nHowever , all of my classes are enjoyable, so I\u2019m having a great time every day.\u00a0
\r\nThis time, I\u2019d\u00a0 like to talk about the charms of my university.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n
There are many charms about TUFS, but I\u2019ll introduce three of them today.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n
First is the number of languages that we can learn in TUFS.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n
As the name suggests ,\u00a0 TUFS offers a wide variety of foreign languages.\u00a0\u00a0 Second is the international atmosphere.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n There are so many students at TUFS.<\/p>\r\n Of course there are so many handsome boys and hot girls too. There are also students from China, Korea, the U.S., Laos, Ukraine, and more.\u2028<\/p>\r\n Just being on campus makes me feel like I\u2019m studying abroad! Third is a festival of TUFS in November.\u00a0 Students who major in Italian make pizza, German majors make frankfurters\u2026\u2028<\/p>\r\n You can also try unique foods like pirozhki (Russian), Vietnamese spring rolls, and much more! \r\nStudents can major in 27<\/strong> different languages, and choose from over 100<\/strong> languages for our second or third language.
\r\nAs you may know, I major in Lao and actually, TUFS is the only university in Japan where you can study Lao! Isn\u2019t that amazing?
\r\nJust by saying my major, people can tell I\u2019m from TUFS.
\r\nIn addition ,Czech,Uzbek,Mongolian\u00a0 can also only study in TUFS.\u00a0
\r\nBecause fewer people speak these languages, they\u2019re considered valuable skills in today\u2019s global world.<\/p>\r\n
\r\nOne of my classmates is from Madagascar. Can you believe it?<\/p>\r\n
\r\nWhat\u2019s more, these international students\u2019 age are around teenagers , so I can learn about their fashion by speaking mixed languages-Japanese,English and their mother languages.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n
\r\nNow, Japan is having the World Expo in Osaka, but you can try food from all over the world at our festival for free!\u2028<\/p>\r\n
\r\nThere\u2019s so many dishes that you won\u2019t be able to try everything in one day:)
\r\nWe also serve desserts and beer \u2014 so please come visit the TUFS Festival this year!
\r\nMy Lao class will probably serve a dish called “Larp”\u2026
\r\n\u00a0Honestly, I\u2019m not quite sure what it is either!\u00a0<\/p>\r\n
